It all began at a dinner party...
Before 1991, croutons were an afterthought for ounder Francie: stale, styrofoam-y cubes sprayed with fake flavor, the kind you'd pick off a salad and set aside. Then, at one of her brother's dinner parties, she tasted homemade ones: hearty bread, real butter and garlic, nothing like the bagged stuff. She decided then and there that the world needed a better crouton, and began the quest to create one herself.
The First Batch
Francie got straight to work: testing recipes in her own kitchen, raising two kids under three along the way: David, not yet two, and Olivia, three. The first flavor, Butter & Garlic, went out into the world in brown paper bags, hand-stamped one at a time with her daughter's name. The name stuck, and Olivia's Croutons was official!
Growing, One Delivery at a Time
Word spread through farmers markets and local cafes. Every batch was handmade, every ingredient chosen with intention. What started small grew into a beloved local brand.
Home to Grow
In 2017, we moved into a 36,000 SQ FT manufacturing facility in Brandon, VT, powered by an on-site solar farm. Finally room to grow into after outgrowing every kitchen before it. Here we have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen too, so every crouton is made without any risk of cross-contact. Three decades in, Olivia's is still proodicing world-class croutons and bread stuffings, all preservative-free and made with the same honest ingredients and real bread Francie started with... A Crouton Good Enough to Eat on its Own!I!

Baked by the Sun
Every batch of Olivia's Croutons is made with 100% solar power from our own solar farm. Using the sun's energy to run our kitchen keeps our footprint small and our croutons golden.
Sharing the Crunch
Good food is meant to be shared. We dmake a point to donate croutons and stuffing to local food banks and shelters, so more of our neighbors have something wholesome on the table.
Nothing Artificial, Everything Intentional
We keep our ingredients simple and our croutons preservative-free. Whenever we can, we source from farmers and producers close to home in the U.S. and Canada, so every box is as fresh as possible.
